VOLA submitted a successful tender application to the LSC for the Skills Pledge Plus contract.

The aim of the project is to stimulate and address demand for workforce development among Third Sector employers across Merseyside. This will be done by encouraging commitment to the Skills Pledge.

In signing the Skills Pledge funding of £1000 will be made available to the organisation to fund additional learning and skills provision that is not accessible through other routes such as Train to Gain.

In addition to the £1000, signing the Skills Pledge also leads to a relationship with a skills broker who will help you source workforce training on an ongoing basis.

The Skills Pledge is a voluntary public commitment  by the leadership of an organisation to support all its employees to develop their basic skills and work towards relevant qualifications to at least level 2.
