NCVO have started to put together research findings that hopes to inform the UK policy agenda that is taking shape under the term 'Big Society'.

The work so far can be found here: http://bit.ly/bsevidence  with the intention being to share this with voluntary and community organisations that are currently trying to think about their own response to the agenda.

These pages are very much a living document and NCVO would encourage people to contribute so that the document benefits from your suggestions: in other words, is there research-based evidence that you would want to draw the attention of policy makers and practitioners to?
